Welcome to ๐Ÿš€ Progress. My weekly update where I share my stories and behind-the-scene insights into my journey playing the Internet game and seeking to provide value for this world as an entrepreneur/creator. Every week I will transparently show my progress from the beginning on.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Starting a Running Brand

Instagram

As I mentioned in my last Progress blog post, I created a template for Instagram posts and a logo. I then set up an Instagram account and created the first two or three posts.

At the same time, I tried to post content from my running life. So far, I’ve found it extremely difficult to post anything interesting and, above all, to post regularly.

The success so far has been sobering: 29 accounts reached, 4 followers and 10 interactions.

TikTok

A comment on X made me sign up for TikTok and post the same Instagram posts there. I didn’t expect the response there to be much higher than on Instagram. Within a day, one post got over 3000 views, 90 likes and was saved 20 times.

It is noticeable that the statistics on TikTok are available and can be viewed much more quickly than on any other social media network.

German or Englisch?

It was difficult to decide which language to write the posts in. Sure, I have a much greater reach in English, but I find it harder to be authentic, so trust can be lost.

I can get my thoughts across much better in German because it’s my mother tongue. I can build a closer bond with the local. I think it depends on what you really want to achieve with the brand.

Over the next few days, I will test how big the difference is between the English and German reach and then decide how to proceed.
